COVID-19 Information
Patient Responsibility
- If your temperature is over 100.4 or you answer yes to any of these questions you may not enter the practice and your appointment will be rescheduled.
- Have you experienced a new cough within the last 14 days?
- Have you experienced a new shortness of breath within the last 14 days?
- Have you had a fever in the last 14 days (temperature at or above 100.4°)?
- Has anyone living in your household experienced any of the above symptoms within the last 14 days?
- You are always required to wear a mask within the practice. Please bring your own as supplies are limited.
- Guests must wait in the car or outside of the practice. Guests will not be allowed to join a patient inside the practice unless the patient is disabled.
- Maintain 6 feet distance between you and other people.
- All paperwork should be completed prior to arrival at the practice to increase social distancing and reduce wait times and contact with pens.
Check-In and Check-Out Processes
- Borgess Medical Specialty Building – 1535 Gull Road Suite 105, Kalamazoo, 49048
- If there are already people waiting on the floor “X”s to check in, please either wait in the hall or in our over flow lobby located across the hall in Suite 110 until safe distancing space is available for checking in.
- Westside – 6565 W. Main Suite C (South Entrance), Kalamazoo, 49009
- If there is already a person checking in, please wait outside the practice in the hall until safe distancing space is available for checking in.
- Digestive Health Center Battle Creek – 3770 Capital Ave, SW, Suite B, Battle Creek 49015
- If there are already people waiting on the floor “X”s to check in, please wait in the foyer (building lobby) until safe distancing space is available for checking in.
- Check Out – At all locations
- You will receive a call within 48 hours after your visit with the medical provider to schedule follow up tests or procedures.
Staff Responsibilities
- If your temperature is over 100.4 or you answer yes to any of the screening questions above, you may not enter the practice and or must go home immediately and report to your manager.
- All staff members and providers are always required to wear a mask within the practice.
- Maintain 6 feet distance between you and other people
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- All frequently touched surfaces are cleaned multiple times per day.
